Kuala Lumpur Islamic Fashion Festival VIII

The Islamic Fashion Festival VIII was launched in style in Kuala Lumpur last week, featuring designs from Royal Terengganu Songket and Muslim wear designers.

Renowned designers from the Middle East, Italy, Britain, Indonesia and Malaysia participated in IFF VIII. Going by the theme "Ahlan Wasahlan" or "Welcome", the designs featured a Middle Eastern influence.

Sumayyah, as Zyra's official fashion designer, took this opportunity to attend the dinner to get some design ideas for our upcoming collection of dresses and abhayas.

Weee! We've have finally settled our fabrics selection and we're busy putting them together, thanks to 'uncle tailor' and a few little helpers ;) Still need to put in our final touches before releasing them.

This next month is gonna be exciting! A lot of new beautiful, colourful collections...plus of course our own collection. Stock will run very fast so make sure you stay tuned ya?

Zyra Creation #2, a work in progress...

Raya is almost over and we're still in the midst of working on our 2nd personal collection! We’ve come up with the design and the concept but we’re still yet to finalise our colours and fabrics! Looking for the right fabrics and the perfect colours can be quite a headache but someone’s gotta do it. ;)

Once we’ve got that out of the way, then it’s over to the sewing machines of our tailors. This is going to be a great collection so we’re really excited to get it done.

We hope to get them ready by the middle of October so stay tuned for the release! Till then, visit us at our online store to enjoy our existing collection!

We have received a lot of positive feedback and suggestions from our customers and supporters! This is great as we need all this feedback to help improve the efficiency of our work. Here are some useful suggestions that we will incorporate really soon!

1) How to Manual
A lot of you out there are intimidated by the complexity of wearing a shawl and how to best style them. So with this, we will compile some simple, unique and funky styles for you and release them in a proper ‘Manual’. Stay tuned!

2) More full length pictures:
If you all notice, right now we like to take our shawls in close-up to better visualize the designs. But with this feedback, we’ll take into consideration to have a full length view of all our shawls as well.
